Rides to VA Appointments
The Volunteer Transportation Network (VTN) provides no-cost rides to scheduled VA medical appointments for Indiana veterans.
DAV (Disabled American Veterans) donates the vehicles and provides many of the volunteer drivers who make these rides possible. The network is coordinated by VA Voluntary Service. Answer three quick questions below and we will show you exactly who to call.

Who the Volunteer Transportation Network can serve
VTN volunteer drivers operate standard passenger vehicles. To ride with VTN, a veteran must be able to walk to the vehicle and get in and out without assistance.
If you use a wheelchair, need help transferring, or require any other mobility assistance, the transportation office at your VA medical center can discuss what options are available to you. Their direct numbers are listed further down this page.
Before you call
- Schedule your ride as far in advance as possible. Most locations ask for at least several days' notice, and some require more.
- Have your appointment date, time, and VA facility ready.
- Rides are provided at no cost to the veteran.
